LANDSCAPE DESIGN
A design can target a small piece of your property, or it can encompass an entire site Master Plan. Whether it be large or small, a piece or the whole, I want to create a visual moment that is beautiful. It might just feel simple, right and natural, or it might take your breath away. It might be about the combination of colors, or the fragrance that brings back a memory. Or maybe it's simply about how the wind moves through the leaves. It's an integrated puzzle - the right emotional response, how it compliments your home, and how it supports your real estate value. The challenge for me is to create a vision that reflects you but also inspires you. |

CONSULTATION
A consultation is the initial walk-around your property. I schedule at least 1 hour, but it could last longer depending on your property. I will tell you exactly what I see, suggest options, and ask you lots of questions. This is a very creative session - think of it as brain-storming. I like to think outside the box of what we are seeing at that moment and try to envision what the possibilities could be. You can take these ideas and implement them yourself. Or we could move into a Design phase and possibly some Project Management to support you through complete implementation. |

PLANT SELECTION
Landscaping for me is always about the creative process, while at the same time working within the unique horticultural parameters that we find on each property – sun/shade, elevation changes, soil conditions, moisture, surrounding trees, shrubs, lawn areas and more. Choosing the proper plant vocabulary is one of the most fun and interactive initial steps we will work on together. |

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
In my 30+ years of experience, the best landscaping projects have usually been the culmination of a great team effort. A designer needs to provide the vision, or “roadmap.” But the execution and project efficiency lies with the various contractors we bring in to work through the project with us. These could be contractors you already know, or ones that I will introduce to you. This network includes landscape installation, irrigation, electric, excavators, arborists, pool contractors, fencing, driveway specialists and more. We can provide a Project Timeline, respond to emails, set/run meetings, oversee work onsite and check the details off a punch list. You can be in the loop as much or as little as suits you. We can make the vision happen! |
